Angel
In the arms of Angels someone leaves.
Here on earth someone grieves.
In just moments from now,
A beautiful mystery somehow,
Someone stands at heavens gate,
Filled with happiness as they wait.
No more pain nor tears,
Only treasured memories of their years.
Down here we’re holding on,
We can’t accept they’re gone.
Weeping as we call their name,
Our lives will never be the same.
Someone stands at the gate to heaven,
As tragedy struck our world again.
In time we’ll begin to understand,
The Angels took our loved one’s hand.
They softly whispered God is love,
And He’s waiting up above.
God’s love has called for them,
To heaven’s gate to meet him.
They’ll enter heaven’s gate together
Where love lives forever.
The Angel was waiting,
Time was so near.
Then without hesitating,
The Angel was clear,
Who had been chosen,
To make this journey.
For God's own reason,
The Angel could see.
So tiny, so special,
While they lay sleeping.
God sent His Angel,
For the final blessing.
Wrapped in Angel Arms,
Sheltered beneath their wings,
Far from earthly harms,
The Angel softly sings
Beginning their sacred journey,
To the Promised Land.
The Angel acted faithfully,
To God's each command.
You must have been waiting,
And got your wings today.
I thought I heard singing
As the Angels led your way.
Your time here was over,
Jesus opened heaven's gate.
Somewhere way up yonder,
I know your love will wait.
And when my work is finished,
When everything's said and done.
I too will be blessed,
The battle I will have won.
So I'll meet you someday,
I'll come without a fight,
To my home far away,
When I see the guiding light.
