My Poems II*

I find myself thinking about you
more than I ever did before, and I
find my heart breaking and hurting
even more.
I once believed you really cared for me,
Boy was I ever wrong, as I sit by this jukebox
and cry as I listen to "our song",
wish I could hold you one last time
after all we had together, there's got to be a better way for us to stay as one forever.
As I sit and think about the few times we spent as one, the memories are just flooding my mind,
as my love for you is brighter than the rising sun.
Now the night is upon me again
and the lonliness is too great
as I wait for the darkness to turn into light
as I sit and wonder, Is this my fate?
As dawn turns into day
I watch the sunrise, the colors so magnificant,
it just takes my breath away,
I sit and daydream about the times we spent, Why cant I get you out of my mind? It's been so long since we've been as one, I miss your touch and your loving arms, You taught me how to love again,
Why did it all have to end?
I know we have our own lives to live when there's nothing left between us to give.
As I wake in the morning I picture your face
and heavenly body next to me,
Remembering of how it used to be;
the passion that lasted all through the night
Oh Man how it felt Oh so right!
You touched me in all the right ways
I can feel your lovin' still to this day.

I like the way I feel when
I'm in your company.

Your sense of happiness and caring,
That calms my butterflies.

I trust you recognize the Good,
Of which you are really made.
And give thanks for the blessings,
Which flow through you each day.

MY VERY BEST FRIEND

Words escape me
at this moment
that seems like the end
yet it is only the beginning
when friendships are close
and dreams are far
you were there for me.

In times of trouble
and in times of thanks
you stood by my side
and held me up.

Through your ever patient ears
to your comforting hugs,
he listens to me patiently
But never judges what I do or say
he helped with all my problems
And never went away.

I never once felt judged by him
How much that meant to me
That I could tell him all my dreams
And he would listen to me.

I am thankful for that friend of mine
Our friendship will never end
And he will always be there
For Bud is my very best friend!


WASN'T READY
There were so many things left to say
But I always thought I'd see you another day
Now there's only memories to hold in my heart
Everyday something new seems to fall apart
I wish some one had a reason why
Because I just wasn't ready to say goodbye
I try to hold it together, so people can't see
That without you, there is no me
In denial, I said I didn't need you
Look at what had to happen, for me to know that it wasn't true
For just one more second, there isn't a thing I wouldn't do
to make you love me again after all we've been through.
